With the official groundbreaking in April 2025, a forward-looking project begins in the Brandnertal tourist region: the construction of the new Loischkopf cable car in B\u00fcrserberg. After a two-year delay due to environmental concerns \u2013 particularly to protect the capercaillie population \u2013 the realization of a state-of-the-art 10-passenger gondola lift is now underway, combining comfort, efficiency, and environmental awareness. <\/p>

Comprehensive Planning from a Single Source<\/strong><\/h3>

Melzer & Hopfner has been commissioned as the overall technical planner, responsible for key planning and coordination tasks. Our range of services at a glance: <\/p>

    Nature Conservation as an Integral Part of the Project<\/strong><\/h3>

    A key challenge and core element of the project was integrating environmental regulations. The sensitive habitat of the highly endangered capercaillie was protected as effectively as possible through detailed planning and close coordination with authorities and NGOs. The two-year delay was used to develop viable solutions \u2013 successfully.

    Comfort and Sustainability for an Entire Region<\/strong><\/h3>

    The new lift combines top-level riding comfort with technical innovation: spacious cabins with barrier-free access, an optimized guidance system, and modern station buildings featuring high-quality wood and glass architecture create an all-around improved user experience. The valley, mid, and mountain stations are being newly constructed and will serve as central access points to the expansive leisure area.

    A Milestone for the Brandnertal<\/strong><\/h3>

    Commissioning is scheduled for December 2025 \u2013 a significant step for the tourism and infrastructure development of the Brandnertal.<\/p>
